What is wood firing? All ceramic clay has to be heated (fired) to become hard, and wood is the oldest method of firing clay. When burned, wood creates ash that falls on the surfaces of the ceramics. The ash melts and creates a glaze unique to each piece. Our large wood kiln was stoked continuously for 2 days, and the results are worth it!
This is a one-of-a-kind sculpture. No others of its kind exist or will be reproduced.
