“Relic” began as a white porcelain horse sculpture that I broke apart and pieced back together, allowing the visible cracks to define its new form. I’m interested in how repair changes an object, the same way time reshapes our memories: It never fully restores them, but can create something meaningful in the process. This piece invites viewers to consider the beauty in what persists, even when it comes back to us incomplete.
